You should keep this in mind to ensure that the fly trap willow works optimally!
The structure:
- the 6 small bags that are in the attractant packaging do not need to be opened, they are water-soluble and can therefore be used as they are
- It is best to use lukewarm water to fill the fly trap. The attractant then dissolves more quickly
Attachment:
- You should give the fly trap a few days, as the attractant needs some time to attract flies
- The bucket must be placed outside and should be exposed to sunlight at least occasionally, as the attractant is activated by the heat of the sun
- The fly trap works best when it hangs approx. 1.5-2 m high, whether on the fence or somewhere else does not matter
- The fly trap really only catches flies, as it is not intended to attract beneficial insects
- If it is particularly hot, the water may evaporate. It is then advisable to simply add some more water, as the attractant is still active (within the 8 weeks)
- The fly trap should be placed approx. 10 m away from the affected area, as you want to lure the flies away from there (e.g. the hay rack)
